Ok so now that you’ve got all these cheap diapers your baby is going to fill them up and they are going to stink! So what do you do with them? I’ve heard a lot of different ways of disposing of them. None of them are that effective and your house will always smell a little bit like dirty diaper, especially when the kids get older. So what works best?
What most people like is the Playtex Diaper Genie Elite. It seems to hold the smell in the best. The downside is that you do have to buy special bags that only fit the Diaper Genie. You end up spending way more on refill packs than on the actual diaper pail.
If you want an option that can use regular trash bags here is one that works: The Baby Trend Diaper Champ. It starts to smell pretty quickly so you have to take it out frequently, but it is the best that I have found that uses regular bags. Also don’t leave wet diapers in too long as condensation can build up inside the diaper pail and it can get really disgusting.
Other Options?
1. Hang a bag out of the window and every time you get a dirty diaper you open the window, place the diaper in the bag, and shut the window again. Not that classy but it works.
2. Put a trashcan below the window and throw them out the window into the trash can.
3. Just put them in your regular trash and take it out often, really often.
